Q.1. What is SOCAN?
SOCAN is responsible for administering Canadian copyright-protected music. Your event location will likely collect a royalty fee on behalf of SOCAN to be redistributed to musicians worldwide. For more information, please visit SOCAN.

Q.2. Do you provide a written contract?
Yes, Natural Appeal always confirms a contract in writing. We want to make sure you receive accurate information by providing you with a written agreement.

Q.3. Will you play our music requests? How about music requests from our guests?
There are thousand upon thousands of songs to choose from. Natural Appeal likes to have input from clients to help narrow down the choices and to cater the event specifically for them. We will work with you before your event to determine the songs you want played and the songs you may not want to hear. We will also be open to all requests from you and your guests during the event and try to work them into our routine. However, our primary job is to keep the majority of your guests happy. We have an idea of which requests will keep the party going and which will clear the dance floor.

Q.4. Are you able to play continuous music? Do you mix songs or do you simply fade songs in and out?
Natural Appeal takes pride in maintaining a continuous flow at events. Fading songs in and out breaks that flow and interrupts clients and guests in the middle of their dance. We have years of experience mixing music smoothly and keeping people on the dance floor.

Q.5. Who will actually be the DJ at our event? Do you sub-contract your work out?
Two partners, Kevin and Tommy, own Natural Appeal. We work as a team and when booking with us, you will be getting this team at your event. However, sometimes due to emergencies, one of us may not be able to attend, but we guarantee that the other will be the DJ at your event. Natural Appeal never sub-contracts work out. What you see is what you get. No surprises.

Q.6. What is your policy on smoking and alcohol?
Natural Appeal does not smoke or drink alcohol in our daily lives and we will not start at your event.

Q.7. What format is your music in?
Natural Appeal has an extensive collection of music on vinyl, CD and digital format such as mp3. Technology is constantly changing and improving. We try to keep up with the current industry trends and standards and will provide music using professional DJ equipment and formats.

Q.8. Do you charge extra for setup and take down time of equipment?
Natural Appeal offers free setup and take down time of equipment. The hours you see in our packages are the actual hours we will provide music for your event. We do not include the free setup and take down of equipment time in these hours. Rest assured, Natural Appeal will arrive at least an hour to 2 hours before your event start time to make sure equipment is setup and in working order.

Q.9. What equipment do you typically use?
In order to ensure that we provide our clients with top quality sound and lighting, Natural Appeal has purchased its own equipment, including spare equipment (e.g. microphone) for any emergency situations. In summary, some of our equipment consists of: Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3 CD Players, Denon X400 Professional Mixer, Technics 1200 Turntables, Serato Scratch Live, Yorkville 100, 190 and 800 Watt Speakers, Martin Ego 3 Lighting unit, Martin T-Rex Lighting unit, American DJ Vertigo Lights, Antari Fog Machine and Shure Wireless and Numark Cordless Microphones.

Q.10. We are close to the end time booked in our package but we are having a great time and want to continue longer. Would you be willing to stay?
Natural Appeal does not want to be the ones ending a great party. We will stay as long as required to make sure you and your guests are completely satisfied. We offer additional extra hours at affordable rates. Please contact us for more info.
